Now what they’re telling us in the WP devblog is that you by now can define …
(…) different physical (.php) files for the different components of your weblog. Let us call each of the different physical *.php files a template. So, with the new theme system, you can define different templates for the category archives, the monthly archives, the individual-entry pages etc.
Uhm, sorry to disappoint you guys (and gals), but what does the structure of my current weblog look like? Hey, by now this has been the only way properly adding different pages and ‘themes’ to WP till now. Are they trying to tell me they DID NOT use this method to add additional pages to their sites?! 8-o
Ok, it might be a bit different, but when I was looking in some alpha built way back in time, this template page option didnt like very convincing to me. :-/
